To celebrate 70 years of Independence, Ambassador hosted a Reception yesterday evening. Minister of Tourism of Oman, H.E. Ahmed bin Nasser Al Mahrizi, was the Chief Guest. A number of members of Majlis Al Shura and Majlis Al Dowla and senior Officers from the Omani Government also joined. Around 450 persons, including Omani businesspersons, members of Indian Community, Ambassadors and members of Diplomatic Corps attended the Reception. The highlight of the Reception was the mesmerizing Kathak performance by Dinesh Podar Q Lighting Group, led by Mrs. Luna Poddar. Embassy thank Indian Department of Culture for deputing the Group to Oman. They will also perform in Sohar, Nizwa and Salalah.
