Shri Suresh Prabhu, Minister of Commerce & Industry and Civil of India, visited Oman for co-chairing along with H.E. Dr. Ali bin Masoud al Sunaidy, Minister of Commerce & Industry of the Sultanate of Oman, the 8th session of India-Oman Joint Commission Meeting (JCM) and 9th session of India-Oman Joint Business Council (JBC) on 16-17 July 2018 in Muscat. During the India-Oman JCM, the two sides reviewed various aspects of India-Oman strategic partnership, particularly economic and economic cooperation, and discuss various ways of deepening the existing cooperation as well as identifying new areas of cooperation between the two countries. On sidelines of the JCM, Minister of Commerce and Industry of India will interact with business community in Oman. During his visit, Shri Suresh Prabhu also met with H.E. Ahmed bin Nasser Al Mahrizi, Minister of Tourism of Oman, and discussed cooperation in promotion of bidirectional tourism between India and Oman. He interacted with Indian community members, including Indian businesspersons, in Oman, in a Reception to be hosted by Ambassador of India in honour of the Indian Minister.
