The Indian Embassy in Muscat has been regularly organising cultural, economic and community events to showcase various facets of vibrant and dynamic India-Oman strategic partnership.

The Embassy is pleased to partner with Omani Society for Fine Arts (OSFA) to organise a joint Oman-India Exhibition for Contemporary Arts at OSFA from 25-28 September 2019. The Event is being supported by Indian Council for Cultural Relations and Indian Social Club through its newly formed Rangrez Artists Group.

As part of this Exhibition, 5 eminent artists each from Oman and India will be exhibiting their work. Further, Indian artists resident in Oman and Indo-Omani artists will also participate.

The aim of the Exhibition is to showcase the continued strong cultural linkages between India and Oman which go back to thousands of years. The visit of Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi to Oman in February 2018 has provided a fresh impetus to the relationship.

The Exhibition will display the works of renowned artists Mr. Prakash Bal Joshi, Mr. Sachin George Sebastian, Mr. Sujith SN, Ms. Swati Pasari, and Mr. Sunoj D from India; and Mr. Essa Al Mifragi, Mr. Mohammed Al Balushi, Ms. Naila Al Mamari, Ms. Kholood Al Shaepi, Ms. Nadia Al Balushi, and Ms. Radhika Hemlai from Oman. Indian artists resident in Oman are also represented by Ms. Tarini Agarwal (Curator of the Exhibition), Ms. Sushmita Gupta, Ms. Debjani Bharadwaj, Mr. Kanak Mitra and Ms. Komal Talati. The Exhibition will be inaugurated on September 25 at the premises of Omani Society for Fine Arts, Al Sarooj, at 7.30 p.m. The exhibits will remain on display till 28 September 2019 and can be visited on all days from 10.00 a.m. to 9.00 p.m.
