  Embassy of India organized a 'Conclave of Yoga Organizations' on 6 April 2018, as a curtain raiser to the 4th International Day of Yoga, which will be celebrated on 21 June 2018. A number of Yoga Organizations from Oman and Yoga Teachers participated in the Conclave and introduced their Organizations and explained their unique forms of Yoga to the audience. - May 17, 2018

  14th April 2018 marked 127th birth anniversary of Dr. Ambedkar, who was born on this day in 1891. Popularly known as the Father of Indian Constitution, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s unique contribution in building a democratic and inclusive India is well recognized. To mark this occasion, the Embassy of India organized a celebration on 14th April 2018 at the Embassy’s Auditorium, which focused on Dr. Ambedkar’s life and time as well as his seminal contribution to evolution of an inclusive and democratic India. The celebration was attended by over 250 prominent members of Indian community in Oman, students, social workers, and media persons. It was attended also by two Ambedkar International Missions in Oman and their members. - May 17, 2018

  In celebration of 70th Anniversary of India's Independence, Embassy of India, Muscat along with Indian Social Club, Oman, in association with Al Bhaj Books organized “BOOKFEST 2018” from 11-14 April 2018. Over 50,000 books in 12 different languages were displayed at Indian Social Club. In addition, Interaction with Mr. Nambi Narayanan, Retd. ISRO Scientist along with activities for children namely quiz competition, colouring competition and poetry competition were also organized. - May 17, 2018

  Embassy of India, Muscat, organized a Roadshow on ‘Vibrant Tamil Nadu Global Food Expo and Summit’ on 16th April 2018 at its premises, with a view to promote participation of Omani companies from food, agro-products and related sectors. ‘Vibrant Tamil Nadu Global Food Expo and Summit’ will be held in Madurai in Tamil Nadu State of India during 12-15 August 2018. Mr. Saif Sultan Al Shaibani, Director General for Trade Operations at Public Authority for Food Stores, was the Chief Guest. Around 60 Omani Officials and representatives of companies from food, agro-products and related sectors attended the Roadshow - May 17, 2018
