As we celebrate International Women’s Day today, we, the members of Indian Embassy in Muscat, re-dedicate ourselves to work towards empowerment of women, ensuring that their right to equality, as guaranteed under Indian Constitution, is respected, protected and promoted. We are determined to work towards creating in India conducive political, economic, social and cultural eco-systems, which will protect, promote and ensure equal rights for our women and girls and their empowerment so that our women and girls are able to make their full contribution in building a New India by 2022, a clean India, which is free of corruption, poverty, terrorism, communalism, casteism. In a ceremony Women colleagues of Indian Embassy were honoured to show our respect and appreciation for their contribution. - March 13, 2018
The Embassy of India, Muscat, celebrated ‘Indian Technical & Economic Cooperation Programme (ITEC) Day’ on Tuesday, 6th March 2018. Around 150 ITEC Alumni from Oman, comprising Omani Officials and professionals, who have participated in various training courses in India under ITEC Programme during previous years, attended the celebration. - March 06, 2018
The Embassy, in collaboration with PIOCCI (Platform for Indians to Operate, Co-operate, Collaborate and Invest) hosted a talk by Dr. Vinay Saharabuddhe, President, Indian Council for Cultural Relations, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) 'The India Story- Key Success Factors'. He spoke about key paradigm shifts in Governance initiated by the present NDA Government. Shri Syed Zafar Islam, Director, Air India, outlined the various reform measures initiated by the Governments and opportunities it offered for Indian and Omani business communities. The event was attended by around 150 Indian and Omani CEOs and businesspersons. - March 13, 2018
The Embassy co-hosted launch of book ‘Lavender Memories’ written by Amita Sanghvi. H.E. Mr. Mohammed bin Al Zubair, Advisor to His Majesty for Economic and Planning Affairs and Prof. Ibrahim Al Bakri, a renowned painter from Sultan Qaboos University whose paintings inspired Amita to pen her poems were Guests of Honour. Set to music and dance, a few poems of her were sung by Arundhati D.Vignesh Dev Burman. - March 13, 2018

Embassy hosted its Annual Republic Day Reception on 29th January 2018. H.E. Sayyid Badr Bin Hamad Bin Hamoud Al Busiadi- Secretary General, Ministry of Foreign Affairs was the Chief Guest. It was attended by over 400 persons including representatives of Government of Oman, members of Business Community and members of Diplomatic Corp. They cover Mutual Legal Assistance Treaty (MLAT) on Civil and Commercial Matters; Cooperation between National Defence College (NDC) and Institute for Defence Studies and Analysis (IDSA); Cooperation in Peaceful Uses of Outer Space; Visa free travel for Official/ Diplomatic holders; Cooperation in field of Health; Cooperation in the field of Tourism; Cooperation between Foreign Service Institute of India (FSI) and Oman Diplomatic Institute. - February 15, 2018
Honourable Prime Minister of India, Shri Narendra Modi, met with His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said at Bait Al Barkha, Royal Palace. The two leaders agreed on steps to expand the strategic partnership between the two countries to new areas.
