Health Camp at Embassy of India, Muscat
Health awareness initiative
The Embassy of India in association with Al Hayat International Hospital, organized a health check-up camp under the theme ‘Know Your Heart’ at the Indian Embassy premises, reflecting the spirit of Seva Pakhwada (community service) by encouraging everyone to prioritize their health and well-being.
- The day-long health awareness and knowledge initiative was arranged for Embassy staff members and their families, housekeeping and technical staff to promote wellness and preventive medicine. The focus was to conduct a comprehensive Health Risk Assessment, and provide guidance on healthy lifestyle choices to build long-term awareness for disease prevention and early detection.
- Besides providing consultations, senior specialists from Al Hayat International Hospital also conducted awareness sessions on common lifestyle-related diseases such as heart risks, diabetes and strokes, and their causes and preventive measures and management protocols. Dr.K.P Raman Chairman & Senior Consultant Cardiologist, Dr Balaji Subbaraman Consultant Interventional Cardiology, Dr Gopakumar specialist Diabetology and General Physicians explained in detail how a healthy lifestyle is crucial for preventing diseases and promoting overall well-being. It was emphasized that by incorporating regular exercise, a balanced diet, sufficient hydration, stress management, and monitoring vital health markers, one can pave the way for a vibrant, disease-free life.
- Ambassador Prashant Pise welcomed and appreciated the initiative, emphasizing the importance of regular health check-ups and preventive healthcare.
- The Embassy has been organizing a series of events as part of its ongoing community service-oriented campaign running from 17 September to 2 October.
