Blood Donation Camp in Muscat on 3rd Oct 2026 coinciding with the Seva Pakhwada (community service) celebrations
The Embassy of India, Muscat, in collaboration with Indian Social Club Oman, held a blood donation camp at Embassy premises on 03rd October 2026, to commemorate the Birth Anniversary of Mahatma Gandhi.
- The initiative witnessed an overwhelming response from the Indian community in Oman, with more than 100 people registering, of whom more than 70 successfully donated blood. Members of the Indian community from diverse backgrounds enthusiastically participated in the humanitarian initiative, demonstrating solidarity, compassion, and a shared commitment to supporting Oman’s healthcare system.
- The Embassy of India together with Indian community organisations in Oman regularly organise blood donation drives, medical camps, plantation drives and welfare-oriented initiatives. These initiatives reflect the deep-rooted friendship and strong people-to-people ties between India and Oman, while highlighting the Indian community’s contribution to humanitarian and social causes in Oman.
- Ambassador Prashant Pise, commended the overwhelming support extended by the Indian community, which contributed to the collection of a significant number of blood units to support blood banks in Oman. He expressed his sincere appreciation to the Ministry of Health officials, doctors, nurses and medical staff for their tremendous support and cooperation in successfully organizing the blood donation drive in Muscat.
