It is a pleasure to be here at Inspire Oman 2026, a platform that brings together business leaders, investors and entrepreneurs to celebrate Oman's achievements and explore new opportunities for investment, partnership and economic growth.

I would like to congratulate the Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry for its leadership in this initiative and Mefriend Solutions, the execution partner, for bringing this important platform to fruition.

The vision behind Inspire Oman is particularly meaningful. Every successful business, every entrepreneur who takes a calculated risk, and every investor who believes in a new opportunity contributes to the economic story of a nation. Recognising these achievements and sharing them with the world can inspire future generations while strengthening international confidence in Oman's investment potential.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Oman and India share a relationship that stretches back centuries. Our historical connections across the Arabian Sea were built on trade, maritime links and cultural exchanges. Today, that relationship has evolved into a broad-based partnership encompassing commerce, energy, logistics, manufacturing, technology, healthcare and strategic investments among many other sectors. 

India’s progress has always been a story of shared progress. When India grows, it makes its friends partners in that growth. This is exactly what we are doing today. Today, India is rapidly advancing towards becoming the world’s third-largest economy. This presents opportunities for the entire world. But for Oman, the advantage is even greater. Because we are not only trusted friends but also maritime neighbors, our people know each other well, there is intergovernmental trust within our business communities, and we understand each other’s markets deeply. In such a context, India’s growth journey offers abundant opportunities for Oman.

In today’s business world, India’s economic resilience is widely discussed. Despite global uncertainties and challenges, Indian economy is achieving growth of more than 7.5%. India’s initiatives such as "Make in India" or "Digital India" have generated significant global enthusiasm today. The world recognizes India as an attractive investment destination. At the same time, India is a reliable, future-ready partner, a fact that Oman understands very well and deeply appreciates.

India–Oman cooperation offers significant opportunities to advance the objectives of Oman Vision 2040, particularly in economic diversification, sustainable development, innovation and private-sector growth. India's strengths in logistics, manufacturing, tourism, food processing, healthcare and digital technologies complement Oman's strategic advantages and development priorities. Partnerships in renewable energy, green hydrogen, mining and value-added industries can further support Oman's transition towards a diversified, knowledge-based and sustainable economy. By aligning Indian expertise and investment with Oman's Vision 2040 priorities, both countries can promote technology transfer, create employment, attract quality investment and build a stronger, future-ready economic partnership.

The India–Oman Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement, which entered into force on 1 June 2026, provides a further impetus to this partnership by creating new opportunities for trade, investment and business collaboration.

However, the true success of our economic partnership will be measured not merely by trade figures, but by the investments we generate, the joint ventures we establish, the technologies we exchange and the collective opportunities we create for the betterment of our people.

I encourage business leaders and investors from both countries to use this platform to build lasting partnerships, explore concrete projects and transform shared opportunities into tangible outcomes.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

The private sector, entrepreneurs are central to economic transformation of every economy. Platforms such as Inspire Oman are valuable because they recognise enterprise, celebrate achievement and bring together the people who can turn ambition into reality.

The Indian community in Oman is also an important bridge between our two countries. Its longstanding contribution to Oman's development, together with its entrepreneurial experience and commercial networks, can help strengthen investment links and facilitate new partnerships.

India–Oman cooperation offers significant opportunities to advance the objectives of Oman Vision 2040 and India’s vision of Viksit Bharat 2047. Both countries share a commitment to economic diversification, sustainable development, innovation, technological advancement and inclusive growth. The synergy between these two national visions creates a strong foundation for deeper economic engagement and mutually beneficial partnerships. India’s strengths in logistics, manufacturing, tourism, food processing, healthcare and digital technologies complement Oman’s strategic advantages and development priorities. Partnerships in renewable energy, green hydrogen, mining and value-added industries can further support Oman’s transition towards a diversified, knowledge-based and sustainable economy, while contributing to India’s own development ambitions. By aligning Indian expertise and investment with Oman’s Vision 2040 priorities, both countries can promote technology transfer, create employment, attract quality investment and build a stronger, future-ready economic partnership.
