General guidelines for applying for passport services

The Embassy of India, Muscat, Oman administers the Indian Passport Services for Indian citizens residing in Oman. Embassy of India has taken several measures to improve the passport service experience, as per the existing passport rules to facilitate timely services to Indian citizens. With effect from March 2019, the Embassy of India, Muscat has also initiated the integration to the Passport Seva Programme (PSP), with the implementation of Global Passport Seva Programme for the Indian diaspora living in Oman. It would further improve and streamline the passport services rendered to Indian citizens residing in Oman. The services are facilitated through the outsourced agency, BLS International Services LLC Oman that receives applications and payment for these services.

The Services provided are
:
1. Fresh/ Re-issue of Passport against existing passport
2. Registration of Birth & Issue of Passport to new born child
3. Emergency Certificate (EC)
