14th April 2018 marked 127th birth anniversary of Dr. Ambedkar, who was born on this day in 1891. Popularly known as the Father of Indian Constitution, Dr. B.R. Ambedkar’s unique contribution in building a democratic and inclusive India is well recognized. To mark this occasion, the Embassy of India organized a celebration on 14th April 2018 at the Embassy’s Auditorium, which focused on Dr. Ambedkar’s life and time as well as his seminal contribution to evolution of an inclusive and democratic India. The celebration was attended by over 250 prominent members of Indian community in Oman, students, social workers, and media persons. It was attended also by two Ambedkar International Missions in Oman and their members.
