Student Visa is a multiple entry visa issued to students: -
• For higher education, provisional student visa, for short term courses and for those coming under Student Exchange Programme.
• For school Education
• For studies in Yoga, Vedic Culture and Indian Systems of Music and dance and for Buddhist studies.
• For Theological Studies and Missionary students.
• For research scholar, visiting Research faculty on bilateral exchange programme.
• For those coming for internship in India
• Dependents of Student Visa.
Points to Note Before You Apply
• Duly filled application to be filled online www.indianvisaonline.gov.in with two photographs. (Paste one photo with white background of the size 35 mm X 45 mm and staple another on the application form)
• When applying for a visa, the validity of Passport should be at least for next 180 days or more.
• Copy of Passport, Omani Residence permit / ID should be submitted.
• Confirmation Letter: A confirmation letter from a recognized Indian institute with a registration number in India, confirming the admission of the applicant, duration of course and other details. Evidence of financial arrangements made for maintenance in India.
• In case of Engineering/Technical Graduate or post-graduate Courses a letter of approval or a No objection certificate is required, from the Ministry of Human Resources Development (Department of Education).
