Emergency Certificate
 
 
 
Requirements for issue of an Emergency Certificates for one-way travel to India in case of non-availability of a valid passport with the applicant and where a new passport cannot be issued immediately. Emergency Certificate is issued after the cancellation of existing passport of the holder. On arrival in India, he/she will have to contact the concerned Passport Issuing authority in India for issue of new passport.

As per instructions in general guidelines a duly filled online application form available at https://embassy.passportindia.gov.in/ should be submitted at SGIVS Global LLC in  Muscat or its collection centres at Salalah, Sohar, Sur, Nizwa, Buraimi, Ibri, Ibra, Duqum, Khasab & Barka International, Oman. All particulars in the application should tally with those in the current passport.

Three white background photographs. (Please refer to the photo specification mentioned in general guidelines)

Any of the following original photo ID (it will be returned after verification) and its photocopy to verify your nationality:

Expired passport.

Aadhar card 
-  
Nativity Certificate issued by Tehsildar, Taluk Office, DM/ DC.

Ration Card - If your photo is affixed.

Driving License.

Election Identity Card 
Or any identity document issued by Indian authorities.

In case of loss or damage of passport, 
- a letter addressed to the Embassy from the sponsor/employer (from parent in case of a minor) of the applicant on the company's letterhead explaining circumstances leading to damage or loss of the passport. One photo of the applicant should also be pasted on the letter, and
 
- Police Report for loss of passport and a letter issued by the local immigration subsequent to the police report. (This document is not required if there is only a minor damage)
