Embassy of India Celebrates Ayurveda Day 

Embassy of India, in association with Saham Ayurvedic Hospital & Health Center, Coimbatore Ayurvedic Center, Calicut  Ayurvedic Clinic, Balance Muscat Ayurveda & Yoga Center, Sri Sri Tattva Panchakarma and Bipha Ayurveda organised an event to observe Ayurveda Day.

2. The event took place at the Embassy premises, where esteemed guests and participants gathered to highlight the significance of Ayurveda for a holistic and healthy life. Dr. Qamar Al Sariri, Director General of Quality Assurance Centre, Ministry of Health, HE Mansoor Zaber Al Hajri,  Chairman of Health Committee of Shura Council, and HE Ahamed Lebbe Sabarullah Khan, Ambassador of Sri Lanka to Sultanate of Oman graced the occasion with their presence. 

3. HE Amit Narang, Ambassador of India to the Sultanate of Oman, delivered the keynote address. In his remarks, Ambassador Amit Narang stated, "Ayurveda is not just a system of medicine; it's a life philosophy that guides us towards a balanced and harmonious life. Its principles offer timeless wisdom for maintaining good health and well-being."

4. The event featured informative talks by two doctors from Ayurvedic hospitals in Muscat, who shared insights into the principles and benefits of Ayurveda.  Students from Indian schools in Muscat showcased their talents through a captivating yoga dance performance. The demonstration emphasised the close connection between Ayurveda and physical well-being.

5. Ayurvedic hospitals in Muscat set up stalls in the Embassy premises, offering attendees an opportunity to explore and learn more about Ayurvedic treatments, products, and wellness practices.

6. Ayurveda is popular in the Sultanate of Oman, as exemplified by the presence of more than 35 Ayurvedic hospitals and Clinics. The popularity of Ayurveda in Oman extends beyond its traditional roots, with a notable emphasis on applications in sports medicine and stroke rehabilitation.
