Ambassador was invited as Chief Guest to the Annual Celebration of 'Balabharati Oman' on 27th April 2018. It was initiated by families to teach children traditional values, customs and traditions. Currently there are 23 centers all over Oman
Commencement of India Oman Sports Meet 2018 with a football match between Sur Club of Oman and Gokulam FC from India.
In celebration of 70 years of Indiaâ€™s Independence, Oman-India Sports Meet 2018 is being organized by Malayalam Wing of Indian Social Club, Oman, in cooperation with the Embassy of India, Muscat, and Ministry of Sports Affairs of Oman. The Meet was inaugurated on 4th May 2018, at Sultan Qaboos Sports Complex, by H.E. Sheikh Khalid bin Omar bin Said Al Marhoon, Minister of Civil Services. On this occasion, a friendly football match between First-Division I-League â€œGokulam FCâ€ from Kerala, India, and Omanâ€™s Sur Club was played.
Ambassador Shri Indra Mani Pandey was invited as Chief Guest to the Annual Antakshari Programme, hosted by Hindi Wing of Indian Social Club, Muscat on 4th May 2018 at Embassy Auditorium.
H.E. Shri Indra Mani Pandey, Ambassador of India to the Sultanate of Oman and his spouse Mrs. Sushma Pandey, joined the Birth Anniversary Celebration of 'Basavanna', a 12th-century poet-philosopher and founding Saint of the Lingayat Community, in Muscat on 4th May 2018.
Ambassador Shri Indra Mani Pandey, met with His Holiness Ignatius Aphrem II, Patriach of Antioch and All the East, during his visit to Oman on 8th May 2018.
In celebration of 70 years of India's Independence, Embassy in collaboration with Bhavalaya, organized a painting competition for students of Indian Schools in Oman to paint their image of â€˜India@75â€™. 16 Indian Schools participated in the painting competition. A ceremony was held on 10th May 2018, at Embassy premises, to award the best paintings and felicitate students who participated in the painting competition
Ambassador was invited as the first guest speaker on 'Let's Talk' Show of Times FM Oman, on 1st April 2018, where he spoke about India- Oman Bilateral Relations and various community matters.
Mrs. Sushma Pandey, wife of Ambassador, was invited as Chief Guest at the International Womenâ€™s Day Celebration organized by Muscat Gujarati Samaj.
Ambassador was invited as Chief Guest to â€œPurva Pawanâ€, a Musical Programme to celebrate the 12th Anniversary of Bhojpuri Wing of Indian Social Club, Muscat at Embassy Auditorium.
Embassy of India, Muscat, organized, an India-Oman Business Meet related to Building, Construction and Real Estate sectors, with a view to facilitate interaction and tie-ups with around 25 Indian companies. His Excellency Qais Al Yusuf, Chairman of Oman Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OCCI), was the Chief Guest for the evening. The B2B served as a platform for business interactions and tie-ups between companies from India and Oman, who participated in the Builders International Gathering (BIG) Show 2018, which was held in Muscat from 12-14 March 2018, and Omani companies from these sectors.
Embassy of India, Muscat, organized an â€˜Invest in Indiaâ€™ Seminar, on 21 March 2018. Around 250 Omani businesspersons and representatives of Omani financial institutions, including Banks and Funds, attended the event. H.E Mohammed bin Yousuf Al Zarafi, Under Secretary, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, was the Chief Guest. A Representative of â€˜Invest in Indiaâ€™, Indiaâ€™s National Investment Promotion and Facilitation Agency, made a presentation on investment opportunities available in India and Indiaâ€™s recent transformation as a preferred destination for investors. A representative of Madhya Pradesh State of India highlighted opportunities for investments in Madhya Pradesh. Mr. Alkesh Joshi, Partner- E & Y, made a presentation on the Ease of doing Business in India. Mr. Pankaj Khimji, Director Khimji Ramdas, and Mr. Warith Al Kharusi, Chairman of Oman Centre for Skills Development, spoke about their experiences of doing business in India.
Ambassador was invited as Chief Guest to celebrate 'Bharteeya Nav Varsha' which was organized by Sanskrit Wing of Indian Social Club, Muscat on 24th March 2018.
Ambassador was invited as Chief Guest to Inaugurate 'Indian School Saham' the 20th Indian School in Oman, on 16th March 2018.
Ambassador was invited as the Chief Guest to give away awards to the Winners of "Dil ki Awaaz", which was organized by Muscat Kathiyawadi Parivar. This is the first initiative of its kind in Oman, where Indian Nationals working in Oman were invited to participate in the competition.
Embassy of India, Muscat, organized an 'India Tourism Roadshow' on 27th March 2018, to promote 'Incredible India' as a preferred destination for tourism including medical and wellness tourism for Omanis. H.E Ambassador, Sheikh Hilal Marhoun Salim Al Maamari, Chief of West Asia Department, Ministry of Foreign Affairs was the Chief Guest and Mr. Mohammed Al Riyami, Director, International Cooperation, Ministry of Tourism was the Guest of Honour. Around 180 Omani Officials and representatives of tour operators, travel agents, airlines and other stakeholders participated in the Roadshow. Representative of India Tourism, Dubai, made a presentation on 'Incredible India'. Representatives of Karnataka and Tamil Nadu, States of India, also made presentations on tourist attractions of their States.
Ambassador inaugurated on 12th March'18, the Indian section of Big Show Oman 2018, an annual exhibition dedicated to construction and realty sectors, in which 25 Indian companies are taking part, representing Indiaâ€™s realty as well as building materials and accessories sectors.

Ambassador visited Duqm on 19-20 February 2018 to visit Sebacic Oman SAOC Plant set up by an Indian Joint Venture in Duqm. He was joined by HE Yahya bin Said bin Abdullah al Jabri, Chairman of Special Economic Zone Authority of Duqm, and Managing Director of M/s Sebacic Oman, Shri Pradeep Nair. This is the first investment by an Indian company in a manufacturing plant in Duqm. It is also the first manufacturing plant ready to be commissioned in Special Economic Zone of Duqm. Ambassador also visited an exhibition of sculptures created by Indian artists from scraps. These beautiful sculptures will be used to decorate various public squares in Duqm.

The Embassy participated in 3rd International Food Festival, which was organized by Dar Al Atta Society in collaboration with various Embassies, on Saturday 10th March 2018. A large number of people, including expatriates, enjoyed a variety of food on offer at various food stalls, including Indian food stalls, as well as cultural performances put up by Omani as well as expatriate, including Indian, dance and music groups. All the funds generated from sale of food items went directly to Dar Al Atta.

Marathi Wing of Indian Social Club, Oman, joined hands with the Indian Embassy in presenting 'Healing Harmony', a musical journey, led by a Dr Rahul, a renowned cancer surgeon, and three women breast cancer survivors. The Programme was aimed at educating people about cancer, the second major cause of death in the world. With it's focus on breast cancer, Healing Harmony was a wonderful tribute to International Women's Day.

We are determined to work towards creating in India conducive political, economic, social and cultural eco-systems, which will protect, promote and ensure equal rights for our women and girls and their empowerment so that our women and girls are able to make their full contribution in building a New India by 2022, a clean India, which is free of corruption, poverty, terrorism, communalism, casteism. In a ceremony Women colleagues of Indian Embassy were honoured to show our respect and appreciation for their contribution.

The Embassy of India, Muscat, celebrated â€˜Indian Technical & Economic Cooperation Programme (ITEC) Dayâ€™ on Tuesday, 6th March 2018. Around 150 ITEC Alumni from Oman, comprising Omani Officials and professionals, who have participated in various training courses in India under ITEC Programme during previous years, attended the celebration.

The Embassy, in collaboration with PIOCCI (Platform for Indians to Operate, Co-operate, Collaborate and Invest) hosted a talk by Dr. Vinay Saharabuddhe, President, Indian Council for Cultural Relations, Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha) 'The India Story- Key Success Factors'. He spoke about key paradigm shifts in Governance initiated by the present NDA Government. Shri Syed Zafar Islam, Director, Air India, outlined the various reform measures initiated by the Governments and opportunities it offered for Indian and Omani business communities. The event was attended by around 150 Indian and Omani CEOs and businesspersons.

The Embassy co-hosted launch of book â€˜Lavender Memoriesâ€™ written by Amita Sanghvi. H.E. Mr. Mohammed bin Al Zubair, Advisor to His Majesty for Economic and Planning Affairs and Prof. Ibrahim Al Bakri, a renowned painter from Sultan Qaboos University whose paintings inspired Amita to pen her poems were Guests of Honour. Set to music and dance, a few poems of her were sung by Arundhati D.Vignesh Dev Burman.

Embassy of India, celebrates #69thRepublicDay of India. Ambassador hoisted the National flag and read out President's Address to the Nation on eve of the Republic day. Students from Indian School Maabela led a gathering of over 500 members of Indian Community in Oman, in singing National Anthem and patriotic songs.

Embassy hosted its Annual Republic Day Reception on 29th January 2018. H.E. Sayyid Badr Bin Hamad Bin Hamoud Al Busiadi- Secretary General, Ministry of Foreign Affairs was the Chief Guest.
